Elle découvre que ce dernier n'est pas mort, qu'il vit depuis 10 ans en totale réclusion et surtout le reconnaît comme celui lui ayant sauvé la vie. Il s'avère que, sous l'effet de la colère, Vincent se transforme en une bête enragée et incontrôlable. Catherine accepte de protéger son identité et son secret s'il l'aide à découvrir le meurtrier de sa mère. Tous deux entament alors une relation complexe et extrêmement dangereuse...
