Une société de publicité branchée située en plein centre de Paris est depuis des années faussement déclarée en Zone Franche à La Courneuve, une domiciliation qui lui permet d’obtenir des aides et des exonérations de charges. Lors d’un contrôle, l’administration fiscale se rend compte de la supercherie et vient en informer le patron. Le deal est le suivant, soit la société paye des millions d’euros d’amende pour rembourser les aides qu’elle a indûment perçues, ou elle doit réellement s’installer à La Courneuve et on oublie la dette. Fred, le PDG, n’a pas le choix et déménage donc en banlieue avec ses salariés, tétanisés par cette arrivée en terre inconnue. Ils sont guidés dans cette installation par un jeune employé par la ville qui fait la sécurité de la zone franche dans laquelle ils s’installent.
